I just now read these 2 articles on invasives.  Bravo!  You are as eloquent as ever, as well as brave to speak out on a topic of semi-hysterical ideology.

Personally I think we should make the worst of the native plant nazis agree to consuming only native plants.  This should match the degree of their horticultural restrictions exactly.  So if their plant world view includes species native to anywhere in the Americas, and also includes improved cultivars, then they can get by reasonably well on tomatoes, squash, beans etc.  If they really believe in the more restrictive definitions then they should survive on weeds native to their home county.  So there.
