Thank you so much for your blogging on Spring. Here in Minnesota, the sedums, climbing hydranga, and other wonders in my yard are emerging through the melting ice packs that surround them. Just seeing this gives me hope and a reason to take on my day.

You are very eloquent with words…Would you be so kind as write me a brief summary of why our local COmmunity College should not drop it’s Horticulture Program…
There’s a great nursery on the property that sits fallow…We’ve got a greenhouse on the campus, yet they want to drop HORT programs. Thanks

I agree about the natural collapse of the financial as it was going. As a matter of fact I felt a great sense of relief when the whole mess started to collapse in September.
The only thing I find annoying at the moment is the laziness and lethargy which pervades the atmosphere right now. These people who were seduced by the money to continue building their houses of cards seem so ineffectual at the moment. They come across as narcissists rather than well educated people. Like a modern day twist to Dickens.

I read my garden like a book, study it, and love it,in all season’s, but Spring is very special. ( the neighbors all think–”How can she be entertained and happy just being in her yard for hours?” I feel such joy when I see green popping out of the ground. I loved your description of Spring and the economy.
Sometimes the answer is so obvious we miss it.
